Moduleo Cleaning Guide

Moduleo is a luxury vinyl floor, so it is usually chosen for practical everyday use.

That does not mean every cleaning method is suitable.

Like other LVT floors, Moduleo can become dull, sticky or difficult to maintain when grit, detergent residue, grease or old products build up on the surface. The safest cleaning advice should follow the floor type, its condition and the manufacturer’s care guidance.

Quick Answer

Moduleo flooring can often be maintained with regular dry soil removal and damp mopping with a suitable cleaner.

Professional cleaning may help where the issue is ingrained soil, residue, grease or dull traffic lanes.

Cleaning cannot repair damaged tiles, failed adhesive, deep scratches or surface wear.

Routine Moduleo Care

Good routine care usually means:

  • vacuuming or sweeping grit before mopping
  • using a suitable vinyl floor cleaner at the correct dilution
  • avoiding too much detergent
  • changing dirty mop water
  • wiping spills promptly
  • using suitable entrance matting
  • avoiding harsh pads or abrasive products

The aim is to remove soil rather than spread it into a thin film.

Steam Cleaner Caution

Steam cleaners are often treated as a shortcut for hard floors.

That is risky with LVT. Moduleo’s own care guidance does not recommend steam cleaning appliances, so the safer public advice is to avoid promising steam cleaning as a normal Moduleo cleaning method.

If a floor manufacturer warns against a method, that should override generic cleaning advice.

Rubber And Latex Mat Staining

Some vinyl floors can be affected by certain rubber or latex-backed mats.

Marks from unsuitable mats are not the same as ordinary surface soil. Cleaning may improve some residue around the area, but staining or material reaction may not fully remove.

That is why mat choice matters on luxury vinyl floors.

When Professional Cleaning May Help

Professional LVT cleaning may help with:

  • dullness caused by residue
  • greasy build-up
  • ingrained traffic lanes
  • sticky cleaning product film
  • textured areas that no longer mop clean
  • a reset after poor maintenance routines

The result depends on what is on the floor and whether the surface itself is still sound.

When Cleaning Is Not Enough

Cleaning should not be presented as a repair.

Another flooring decision may be needed where there are:

  • loose tiles or planks
  • failed adhesive
  • deep cuts or gouges
  • heat damage
  • chemical damage
  • worn-through surfaces
  • subfloor or moisture issues

Professional cleaning can improve suitable contamination, but it cannot make a damaged floor new.
